Private 1-1 Workshops with Shivam Pandey
India is a photographer’s dream – but it’s also complex, unpredictable, and can feel overwhelming for international travellers. The streets are alive, the colours are intense, and there’s a story unfolding on every corner. But knowing where to go, when to be there, and how to connect with the people and places in front of your lens takes more than luck – it takes local knowledge, experience, and a photographer’s eye.
That’s where I come in.

What You’ll Photograph?:
Every journey is different, but here are some of the photographic experiences I can arrange for you:
Street Life:
From Kolkata’s flower markets at dawn to Mumbai’s busy train stations and chai stalls, street life in India is endlessly rich. I’ll guide you into the thick of the action while helping you work confidently and sensitively in these dynamic environments.
Culture and Traditions:
India’s diversity means every region has its own festivals, rituals, and traditions. Together, we can seek out opportunities to photograph local ceremonies, artisans at work, or communities carrying forward centuries-old practices.
People at Work:
The heartbeat of India is found in its workers – rickshaw drivers, fishermen, market vendors, tea sellers. I’ll help you approach and photograph people in a way that feels natural and authentic, capturing the dignity and rhythm of everyday life.
Landscapes and Spiritual Spaces:
Whether it’s the ghats of Varanasi at sunrise, the deserts of Rajasthan, or the high-altitude monasteries of Ladakh, we can balance street intensity with quiet, expansive moments that show the spiritual and natural beauty of India.
Suggested Journeys
Here are some popular itineraries I run with independent photographers:
Kolkata: A deep dive into one of the world’s most photogenic cities, alive with markets, trams, colonial architecture, and endless street encounters.
Varanasi: Photograph the sacred rituals along the Ganges, narrow alleyways, and timeless daily life.
Delhi, Agra & Rajasthan: A mix of iconic monuments (like the Taj Mahal) and intimate moments in bazaars, forts, and villages.
Mumbai: High-energy street photography in India’s most fast-paced city – from the fishing docks to the local trains.
Whether you’re travelling solo, as a pair, or with a small group of friends, I tailor the experience to your needs and pace.
