J-PAL
I was commissioned to photograph a J-PAL (The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab) event, an organization dedicated to reducing poverty through evidence-based research and policy. It was an opportunity to capture not only the proceedings of the day, but also the people and stories behind the work—the researchers, policymakers, and community voices that drive meaningful change.
Along with my team, we captured the event through photography and video, highlighting not just the proceedings, but the people and stories behind the work—the researchers, policymakers, and communities driving meaningful change. Each frame aimed to reveal the human connections and real-world impact at the heart of their mission.
This assignment resonated with my philosophy of photography: to document not just what is happening, but why it matters—revealing the humanity within institutions, ideas, and collective efforts toward a better world
