Day 1 / 11th November: Arrival in Delhi

The group arrives in Delhi and is received at the airport for transfer to a centrally located 5-star hotel. The day is kept relaxed to allow rest and acclimatisation after long flights.

If time and energy permit, an optional short photography walk may be arranged around the neighbourhood, offering a gentle introduction to Delhi’s streets, light, and rhythm.

In the evening, the group comes together for a welcome dinner, marking the beginning of the shared photographic journey.

Day 2 / 12th November – Delhi

The day begins early with a morning photography session along the Yamuna riverbank. As first light touches the water, the group observes and photographs life unfolding along the ghats, rituals, movement, and everyday routines. A highlight of the morning is witnessing young traditional wrestlers training by the river, offering powerful moments of action, discipline, and motion in natural light.

After a break and rest, the group regathers in the evening for a sunset session at Humayun’s Tomb. As the light softens, the monument reveals layers of form, symmetry, and shadow, creating strong opportunities for architectural and atmospheric photography.

The session continues with a visit to Agrasen Ki Baoli, the historic stepwell nearby, where fading light and geometry come together to close the day.

Day 3 / 13th November – Delhi to Agra

The day begins in Old Delhi, exploring the narrow, vibrant lanes around Jama Masjid. The group photographs raw, candid moments of everyday life, busy markets, layered streets, and the unmistakable energy that defines this part of the city.

Post lunch, the group drives to Agra, the city of the Taj, a journey of approximately 3.5 hours. Upon arrival, time is set aside to relax and unwind, followed by dinner and rest in preparation for the next day.

Day 4 / 14th November – Agra

The day begins early with a sunrise visit inside the Taj Mahal, experiencing the monument as first light gradually reveals its form, details, and atmosphere. This quiet morning session allows the group to observe and photograph the changing light, expressions, and subtle moments within one of the world’s most iconic spaces.

In the evening, the group heads to Mehtab Bagh for a sunset session across the river. As the sun sets behind the Taj, the focus shifts to wider perspectives, capturing the monument in relation to its surroundings, along with everyday life unfolding around it, closing the day with a slower, reflective pace.

Day 5 / 15th November – Agra to Jaipur

The day begins with a relaxed breakfast, followed by a drive to Jaipur ( 4 hours).

Upon arrival, the evening is kept unhurried. The group gathers for a casual coffee session, sharing stories from the journey so far and engaging in a group image review and editing discussion. This reflective session is followed by dinner, allowing time to rest and recharge for the days ahead.

Day 6 / 16th November – Jaipur

This day is dedicated to capturing life around Hawa Mahal and the City Palace. We will work at a relaxed pace, spending extended time observing how everyday life unfolds against Jaipur’s historic architecture.

From morning through evening, we will photograph streets, bazaars, and local interactions as the light and energy shift through the day. As evening approaches, the focus turns to the warm light around Hawa Mahal and the City Palace area, bringing the day to a close with layered street moments and architectural frames.

Day 7 / 17th November – Jaipur

The day begins with an early morning shoot at Jal Mahal, the iconic Water Palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. This session is ideal for capturing serene reflections, soft morning light, and bird activity against the palace’s silhouette. Some will also visit Amer Fort by Lake Maota to photograph the fort’s grandeur and its reflections in the soft morning light.

In the evening, we head to Galta Ji Temple (Monkey Temple). A short trek up the mountain offers panoramic views of Jaipur and serene sunset light. This location provides opportunities for both candid moments along the path and expansive landscape photography from the top.

Day 8 / 18th November – Jaipur to Pushkar

The morning begins with a visit to Jaipur’s Flower Market, a vibrant hub of colour, texture, and local energy. We will capture candid portraits, market life, and layered scenes in the soft early morning light.

In the evening, we drive to Pushkar. Upon arrival, there is time to check in, relax, and review photographs informally, preparing for the festival sessions ahead.

Day 9 & 10 / 19th–20th November – Pushkar Camel Fair

These two days are fully dedicated to the Pushkar Camel Fair. We will photograph the fair during morning and evening sessions, making the most of the soft, directional light and the vibrant atmosphere.

The focus will be on cultural rituals, livestock trading, colourful portraits, and dynamic street scenes, capturing the festival’s rhythm, energy, and unique photographic opportunities as they unfold naturally throughout the day.

Day 11 / 21st November – Pushkar to Delhi

Depending on the flight timing, we will either have a final morning session at the Fair Ground or a photo review session to reflect on the work captured during the tour.

Afterwards, we depart for Jaipur Airport to take the flight back to Delhi, concluding the Golden Triangle and Pushkar Camel Fair photography workshop.

Testimonials

"I personally spent 10 days with Shivam during my first visit to India with the sole purpose of developing my photography passion in a country that was unique, foreign and challenging coming from Australia. I had lost all drive and motivation after 17 years of photography for a variety of reasons. This changed in the first 3 days with this man. His drive, dedication, guidance, leadership and focus on me as an individual with the knowledge, experience with personal accountability to each and aspect of myself is of the highest level. Being a person of high integrity, professionalism (Leica ambassador of India) and having true concern (he helped when an acute medical episode occurred halfway into the trip) of those he guides - I cannot more highly recommend this unique, valuable and talented person that I can truly now call a friend."

“Shivam put in an amazing effort to give us all an experience of a lifetime. You truly are a great business partner and a lifelong friend. I learnt a lot from you. The photography technique and your philosophy. The cultural experience and how colourful chaos seems to work. An attribute of an elite team is that when someone is in trouble, the whole team rallies around and gives the best support possible. Our team did that for me, and I will be forever grateful. For those of you who are travelling on, have fun and keep your sense of humour. Thank you all! Best wishes.”

“It was excellent. I was with Shivam for 12 days in Delhi and Jodhpur. I took over 4,000 pictures (street and some landscape) and got some of the best photos of my life. He knew perfect locations with lots of activity to work with. In addition, he provided advice (when asked) on both taking photos and editing. The logistics of the 12 days were flawless. And he even went out of their way to help me when I lost my suitcase halfway through the trip at the Delhi Airport. He took me shopping to buy new clothes & toiletries. In addition, he is a wonderful human being, and I know we are friends for life. I have just signed up to tour with him again in Varanasi next Soring.”
